Years of living in NYC, Boston and North Carolina. Raised on the beach in Southern California. Fishing the Alaskan seas of his birthplace. Sutphen enjoys all majestic aspects of nature, sight and sound. He is an underground artist practicing ironic detachment in a restless world. Drawn to natural contours, allure, style and humor, his creations become curious bodies of work.
